Eat Pray Love Book Club Discussion #2

After reading the book for a week what are your first impressions? So much of this part of the book is about Liz’s battle of modern vs. traditional, where do you fall on the spectrum. Are you married with children or do you never want to get married, or like most I would guess are you somewhere in between?
After reading this book for about a week now I'm UBER glad I found this book club. I never would have read this book if I hadn't and that would be a terrible shame. My first impression was that Liz was NOT comfortable in her own skin....To afraid to tell her husband that for her things had changed in regards to the "master plan." Which as we've all read lead to the major downward spiral in her life. I think that Liz is a modern woman who at the time was married to a traditional man.
For me I'm a little bit of both...There are somethings that I'm pretty modern about and then again there are somethings that I'm pretty traditional about. For this part of the discussion I really don't think that there is a right or wrong answer....as long as there is open communication between all parties involved.
I'm not married and right now I'm pretty on the fence as to wether I want to be married in the future. There are advantages to being married but for me right now at this point in my life....it's a pretty "up in the air" topic.

I'm only 17 so I'm too young to talk about marriage yet lol. But I haven't read this book but the movie looks fantastic.

Sounds like the book handles some interesting subjects.

I think if you marry the right man, he helps you soar, he challenges you, supports you, and you grow together. Sounds like her man didn't.

In short, marriage rocks when you take your time selecting Mr. Right.

Either way, I'm looking forward to this movie.
